Outline of the new IAEA basic safety standards for radiation protection

International Basic Safety Standards for Protection against Ionizing Radiation and for the Safety of Radiation Sources (BSS) has being revised and its draft 4.0 was opened for comment. The manuscript describes the outline of the BSS draft 4.0, its role in the system of IAEA safety standard and major points of the revision.
