Two major neutron sources, pulsed neutron source J-PARC and continuous one JRR-3, locate in the Tokai site of Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA). In JRR-3, several representative instruments are available for actinide research, such as powder diffractometer, small angle scattering, and triple axis spectrometers (TASs). TASs of JAEA, used to measure structure factor in an arbitral $$Q$$-$${omega}$$ space, consist of three instruments, TAS-1, TAS-2 and LTAS, which have different characteristics in energy range, resolution, and accessories. A complemental use of these TASs offers an optimum performance in inelastic neutron scattering experiments. We will show several results on actinide research obtained on these TASs.
