A Feasibility study on the multiphase flow measurement using the pulsed neutron source J-PARC by neutron simulation codes

In order to investigate the feasibility on the multiphase flow measurement using J-PARC as the pulsed neutron source, neutron simulations for the energy selective neutron imaging were carried out as the first step for the planning of multiphase flow experiments at J-PARC. It was confirmed from the simulation results that the 33 rod-bundle void fraction measurement experiment can be carried out under high void fraction condition with epithermal neutrons of 1eV.
