Measurement of neutron-capture cross section of $^{237}$ Np with ANNRI

Precise nuclear data on minor actinides and long-lived fission products in high-level radioactive wastes are indispensable for the development of nuclear-transmutation techniques and innovative reactor systems. In the present study, the measurement of the neutron-capture cross section of $^{237}$ Np has been performed from the thermal to 1-keV neutron energy region using a NaI detector of Accurate Neutron-Nucleus Reaction measurement Instrument built at J-PARC/MLF.
