Charge excitations in PrFeAsOx (x=0.7, 1) as disclosed by resonant inelastic X-ray scattering at the Fe-K edge

I will present our RIXS results obtained at the Fe-K edge on the 1111 system PrFeAsOx (x=0.7,1) which constitute the first observation of a RIXS signal in an iron pnictide. For both compounds, the spectra consist of two main features, dd interband transitions around 1.5 eV and As 4p - Fe 3d charge transfer around 4 eV. A clear momentum dependence is observed for the 1.5-eV feature as the momentum q is varied across the Fe-As plane.
