The recent advances in the high magnetic field environment for scattering experiments, especially synchrotron X-ray and neutron scattering experiments in the magnetic field up to 40T, will be reported. The developments of the high magnetic field sample environment in accord with the instrumental developments at these modern quantum beam facilities will open doors to a new era of materials investigation with and for the high magnetic field technology.
