2010年3月に「超深地層研究所地層科学研究基本計画(以下:基本計画)」を改訂した。その中では、地表からの調査予測研究段階(第1段階)の成果の概要や、原子力機構が構築した統合化データフローの個別目標に基づいて調査研究項目を整理するとともに、研究坑道の掘削を伴う研究段階(第2段階)、及び研究坑道を利用した研究段階(第3段階)の調査研究項目が改訂されている。本稿では、この基本計画を踏まえ、深度300mの水平坑道での調査開始から深度500mの研究坑道掘削終了までの第2段階,第3段階における調査研究の考え方と進め方について紹介する。

This document presents the concept and procedure of geoscientific study on Phase II and III to 500 m depth. Specifically, followings methodologies are clarified; (1) Evaluation of adequacy of techniques of investigation, analysis and assessment adopted on surface-based Investigation phase, (2) Establishment of techniques of investigation, analysis and assessment on construction phase and operation phase, and (3) Synthesizing of study results and knowledge base development.
