Confinement and transport properties for hydrogen and deuterium H-mode plasmas were investigated. Exponential degradation of confinement with increased power was observed for both hydrogen and deuterium plasmas. But, stored energy for deuterium becomes larger by the factor of 1.7 than that for hydrogen at a given power. At the same energy, profiles of electron density, electron temperature, ion temperature are almost identical between hydrogen and deuterium plasmas. Power scan experiments using hydrogen and deuterium plasmas indicates the energy confinement becomes larger with increased rho*. On the other hand, dimensionless analysis based on deuterium plasmas shows the gyro-Bohm type diffusion.
