日本原子力研究開発機構の関西光科学研究所では、所掌するきっづ光科学館ふぉとんと一体となったエネルギー環境教育活動を展開している。エネルギー環境教育活動展開の方法として、(1)学校との連携活動としての派遣連携講座、(2)教育機関との連携活動としての教員研修、(3)一般の人々との連携活動としての体験実験講座等から構成される。エネルギー環境教育活動にかかわる東日本大震災を踏まえた工夫改善としては、「パワーズ・オブ・テン」の概念を各講座に導入して、講義内容の全体像について階層構造の世界観に関する認識を通して理解させることを試みている。具体的には、マッピングサイエンスと称した、「光」「エネルギー」「宇宙」「環境」をテーマとする、多人数受講生を対象とする派遣講座の実践や、リニューアルした映像効果の併用により有意な効果を挙げている。

The Kansai Photon Science Institute of Japan Atomic Energy Agency has promoted the energy and environmental education activity to be associated with Kids' Science Museum of Photons. All the effective methods on activities as cooperation activities, (1) dispatch cooperation lecture with Schools, and (2) in-service training for teachers with Educational Institutions, and (3) experienced experiments lecture with Public People, are discussed, based on the East Japan Great Earthquake. New approaches have been developed and tried on dispatch lectures through practices for a lot of students and the temporary recognition from the view of the world with multilayered structures in connection with energy and environmental education contents, which is called "mapping science" on the theme of "Light", "Energy", "Space" and "Environment", for obtaining the global image of lecture contents. Significant effects are also obtained to be combined with use of the renewal effects on the theater image.
