New cross section adjustment method taking into account design target core parameters, 2

Yokoyama, Kenji   ; Ishikawa, Makoto; Kugo, Teruhiko

A new cross section adjustment method named Extended cross-section Adjustment (EA) method has been developed. In the EA method, cross sections are adjusted considering target core parameters. In the present study, the EA method is applied to the latest fast reactor integral experiment database, which consists of approximately 600 core parameters used for the Unified Cross-section Set, ADJ2010. As a result, the EA method improves the prediction accuracies of criticality and control rod worth compared with the conventional method. In addition, it was confirmed that a cross section set based on the EA method could reproduce the predicted values. These results show applicability and practicality to the EA method to fast reactor design study.
