Ausformed bainite transformation behaviors studied by in situ neutron diffraction

In the present work, in situ neutron diffraction during ausformed bainite transformation was carried out with a time-of-flight neutron diffractometer ENGIN-X at the ISIS spallation neutron source, and the non-ausformed bainite transformation was studied by TAKUMI at J-PARC. From the results, it indicates that nanobainite transformation takes place at a narrow temperature regions (473$$sim$$673K). The bainite transformation accelerated by ausforming can be significantly observed in the whole bainite region. The higher carbon diffusion speed in ausforming case should be one reason to accelerate bainite transformation.
