Identification of errors in the electron density measurements of a tangential interferometer/polarimeter system during a tokamak discharge

A new method for identifying the errors on electron density measurements in tangential interferometer/polarimeter system during a discharge is proposed. The possible errors in interferometer and polarimeter are classified and identified by focusing on the differences of their measurement methods. Fringe shift error of interferometer and low-frequency noise of polarimeter are identified in JT-60U tangential interferometer/polarimeter system.
