Result of in-situ stress measurement by stress measurements using core at the Mizunami Underground Research Laboratory

In the Mizunami Underground Research Laboratory (MIU), the results of ${it in-situ}$ stress measurements by DSCA method were compared with the results of ${it in-situ}$ stress measurements by hydro-fracturing method. As a result maximum principal stress in the horizontal plane estimated by the mean results of DSCA method corresponded to the one estimated by hydro-fracturing method. It could be shown that maximum principal stress in the regional horizontal plane is estimated by DSCA method.
