Result of in-situ stress measurement by stress measurements using core at the Mizunami Underground Research Laboratory

In the Mizunami Underground Research Laboratory (MIU), the results of stress measurements by DSCA method were compared with the results of stress measurements by hydro-fracturing method. As a result maximum principal stress in the horizontal plane estimated by the mean results of DSCA method corresponded to the one estimated by hydro-fracturing method. It could be shown that maximum principal stress in the regional horizontal plane is estimated by DSCA method.
