Temperature characteristics of Japanese radiation survey meters

After the TEPCO Fukushima Dai-ichi NPP accident, the radiation monitoring and clean-up activities have been carrying out throughout Fukushima region. In winter, outside air temperature at the fields reaches as low as minus 20 $^{circ}$ C, which is not supposed for the use of radiation survey meters. For the purpose, temperature characteristics of several types of Japanese radiation survey meters were experimentally investigated by using a temperature-controlled chamber.
