Stress / strain measurement using synchrotron radiation facility SPring-8

放射光施設SPring-8を利用した応力/ひずみ測定

現在、放射光施設SPring-8を利用してさまざまな材料中の応力/ひずみ分布測定を行っている。放射光の特徴は、高輝度,高指向性、そして高エネルギーである。それらを駆使し、SPring-8のさまざまなビームラインで10mm厚さに対して0.2mm程度の空間分解能でのひずみ分布評価を行っている。本講演では、溶接材料中のさまざまな測定事例を紹介し、溶接材料におけるその場ひずみ測定について触れるだろう。

Now we have tried to measure surface and internal stress or strain distributions in steel, ceramics and amorphous materials using synchrotron radiation facility SPring-8. Synchrotron radiation has general features which are an ultra-bright, a highly directional and a spectrally continuous, especially, we can use high energy (short wavelengths) X-rays in SPring-8. Then the evaluation of internal strain distribution up to 10 mm depth and below 0.2 mm special resolution has been performed at various beamline in SPring-8. In this presentation, I will introduce results of residual stress or strain measurement in various welding materials. Also, I will present in-situ strain measurements including welding materials.
