本研究開発では、十分な遮蔽能を担保する簡易型中性子遮蔽材の実用化を目指して、Cdメッキ処理や中性子遮蔽材溶液の塗布等の技術開発を多角的に進め、中性子ビームを使った性能評価試験を実施した。これらの試験で得られた知見に基づき、ラジアルコリメータ用の遮蔽ブレード材の選定も行ったので、併せて報告する。

We have promoted the research and development on cadmium plating and painting technique in order to achieve the practical use of handy neutron shielding materials. The performance evaluation test using neutron beam was performed. We report the experimental results and discuss the feasibility of new shielding method for sample environmental devices.
