Adsorption behavior of radioactive cesium by non-mica minerals

非雲母鉱物への放射性Csの吸着挙動

9種類の非雲母鉱物へのCsの吸着と脱離実験をCs濃度を変えて行い、原子力発電所事故により降下した放射性Csの特異的な吸着を調べた。その結果、放射性Csが雲母型鉱物だけでなくカオリナイトやバーネサイトなどの鉱物にも強く吸着することを明らかにした。

We studied the adsorption behavior of radioactive cesium (Cs) by 9 kinds of non-mica minerals to elucidate the environmental behavior of fallout radioactive Cs from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in the Tohoku region of Japan. The results showed that radioactive Cs was strongly sorbed by non-mica minerals of kaolinite and birnesite.
