Awual, M. R.; Kobayashi, Toru ; Miyazaki, Yuji; Motokawa, Ryuhei   ; Shiwaku, Hideaki   ; Suzuki, Shinichi; Okamoto, Yoshihiro  ; Yaita, Tsuyoshi

Complexation of lanthanide by solid state adsorbent is a very useful tool for separation, and extraction of Tm(III), Yb(III) and Lu(III) ions, if utilized in systems involving solid-liquid phases. In such cases, the selective complexation of lanthanide ions is a valuable characteristic for efficient operations. The O donor ligand preparation, characterization, mesoporous material processing, surface characterization, sequester lanthanides, Tm(III), Yb(III) and Lu(III) sorption experiments and complexation bonding mechanism will be discussed.
