Full-f gyrokinetic simulation over a confinement time

Full-f gyrokinetic simulations have the capability of dictating plasma profiles, provided that the simulation is performed over a confinement time. In this work, we examine the accuracy of turbulent transport calculations in such log time simulations by looking at influences of higher order correction terms in modern gyrokinetics, and verify that plasma profiles are converged in time. We then discuss mechanisms to sustain steady intrinsic rotation profiles in long time ion temperature gradient driven turbulence simulations.
