Graphene-magnetic metal interface for graphene spintronics

Graphene has attracted particular attention in the spintronics field due to its extraordinary spin transport properties such as the extremely long spin-diffusion length and high carrier mobility. Elucidations of the graphene/magnetic metal interfaces are of special importance for the development of graphene spintronics. In this talk, we present our recent results on the electronic and magnetic properties of the graphene/Ni(111) interface based on the depth-resolved X-ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD) spectroscopy and the theoretical DFT calculations.
