Magnetic polarization and Fermi surface instability; Case of YbRh$$_2$$Si$$_2$$

Pourret, A.*; Knebel, G.*; Matsuda, Tatsuma; Lapertot, G.*; Flouquet, J.*

Thermoelectric and resistivity measurements in the antiferromagnetic heavy fermion compound YbRh$$_2$$Si$$_2$$ under high magnetic field are reported. At low temperature, the thermoelectric power and resistivity present distinct anomalies as a function of magnetic field. They are resulting from a Lifshitz-type topological transition of the Fermi surface.
