Study on flow-induced vibration evaluation of large-diameter piping in a sodium-cooled fast reactor, 40; PIV measurement for complex turbulent flows in a triple-elbow piping by using a 1/7-scale model of the cold-leg piping

Takamura, Hiroyuki*; Ebara, Shinji*; Hashizume, Hidetoshi*; Yamano, Hidemasa

Cold leg piping of primary cooling system in Japan Sodium-Cooled Fast Reactor (JSFR) is expected to have big pressure fluctuation with suppression from complex turbulent flow field formation caused by the high Reynolds and three-dimensional continuous triple elbow structure. Comprehending three-dimensional flow structure is needed to evaluate this pressure fluctuation by this flow-induced oscillation. Two-dimensional PIV and pressure fluctuation in the Re number up to couple of hundreds range have been measured and the data has been acquired and evaluated in single and dual elbow system in 1/7-scale Model. In this study, PIV is measured in triple elbow system is measured and flow field in cold leg piping is evaluated with the past knowledge.
