Electrode reaction of actinide ions in a weak acidic solution

Kitatsuji, Yoshihiro  ; Otobe, Haruyoshi  ; Kimura, Takaumi

Electrode reactions of U(VI) in weak acid solution are different from those in acid solution. Electrolysis of U(VI) can produce UO$$_{2}$$ fine crystal, not hydrolyzed U(IV). The formed UO$$_{2}$$ is easily deposited on an electrode and is electrode active.
