Research on long-term stability of geological environments; Development of dating methods

We introduce apatite fission-track dating procedures conducted in the Tono Geoscience Center and a case study of the Yoro-Suzuka-Nunobiki mountains. Rapid cooling events associated with uplifting of the Suzuka Range were detected by using apatite fission-track inverse modelings. These results imply usefulness of the method to common Japanese mountains.
