As one of sub-projects of the International Fusion Energy Research Centre of the Broader Approach (BA) activities, implemented by EU and Japan for support of ITER Project and an early realization of fusion energy, ITER Remote Experimental Centre (REC) will facilitate broad participation of scientists into ITER experiments, including the development of remote experimentation techniques for burning tokamak plasmas. The REC facility to be established in the CSC & REC Building at the IFERC site in Rokkasho within the period of the BA activities will enable researchers to carry out some tests of remote experiments with the existing machines. At the BA Steering Committee held in November 2012, the overall plan of the REC was approved and preparation has been initiated. In this presentation, outline of the overall plan of the REC, the boundary established in the BA activities and test planned in future will be presented.
