Consideration of decontamination cost calculation model for severe accident consequence assessment indexed by cost per severe accident

Silva, K.*; Okamoto, Koji*; Ishiwatari, Yuki*; Takahara, Shogo  ; Promping, J.*

Decontamination cost calculation model is developed to enable detailed discussion on decontamination cost which is an important component of cost per severe accident. A sensitivity analysis is also performed in order to identify parameters that contribute significantly to cost per severe accident which would enable further improvement of the model for estimating decontamination cost adequately. The analysis showed that waste-related parameters, dose for setting decontamination target area, the number of workers that can involve in decontamination work, and fractions for adopting particular decontamination techniques in particular land use types are more influential than other decontamination-related parameters to the cost per severe accident.
