Experiment of temperature measurement was performed to investigate the transient temperature characteristics of molten metal during the laser cutting process. The relationship between temperature of the top surface and inside material was determined by using thermography and thermocouple. In addition, the temperature distributions were obtained with different cutting speeds. The appearance of temperature on the top surface is different in case of fail cutting compared with success cutting.
