Neutron angular distribution of photon-induced reactions on $$^{56}$$Fe

Neutron angular distributions from ($$gamma$$, n) reactions on heavy isotopes have not been studied yet. We report a result of the photon-induced reaction on $$^{56}$$Fe. We have measured neutrons using a time-of-flight method. We have measured angular distribution of neutrons by change of the angle of the linear polarization plain of the incident $$gamma$$-ray beam. The $$gamma$$-ray beam has been generated by laser Compton scattering at NewSUBARU.
