Seismic response analysis of structural analysis applying ground motions consistent with seismic hazard

Igarashi, Sayaka*; Sakamoto, Shigehiro*; Nishida, Akemi  ; Muramatsu, Ken*; Takada, Tsuyoshi*

In this R&D, the authors proposed a methodology based on Monte Carlo Simulations (MCS) to reproduce a set of input ground motions to develop an advanced PRA scheme that can explain the exceedance probability and sequence of functional loss in a nuclear power plant. The ground motions consistent with seismic hazard consist of 200 seismic waves whose PGAs are between 700 gal to 1100 gal on the free rock surface. In this report, the analytical results about the influence of uncertainties of ground motion characteristics to structural responses obtained by using the 200 ground motions as input are shown
