Construction of ultra-low background -ray measurement system in JAEA

To clarify the migration mechanisms of radioactive nuclides in environment discharged by the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant Accident, we are developing ultra-low background -ray measurement system in JAEA. The ultra-low background is achieved through underground measurement and anti-coincidence with cosmic rays. The status of this project will be reported.
