日本原子力学会の「遮蔽ハンドブック」研究専門委員会により、中性子と線に対する遮蔽研究の最新知見を2冊のハンドブック(基礎編・応用編)にまとめることとなった。同ハンドブック基礎編において、(1)Sn法における中性子と線の結合計算手法、(2)中性子・光子輸送計算のための汎用モンテカルロコードMVP/GMVP、(3)放射化計算手法と燃料燃焼及び放射化のためのORIGENコードの最近の進展について解説する。

It was decided to put together two handbooks (basic and application editions) with the latest knowledge of radioactive shielding, by the Research Committee on Shielding Handbook under the Atomic Energy Society of Japan. In the basic edition, the author described on (1) neutron and photon coupling calculation in the Sn method, (2) MVP/GMVP; general purpose Monte Carlo code for neutron and photon transport calculation, (3) radiation calculation method and recent progress of the ORIGEN code.
