高速実験炉「常陽」において、設計基準を超える事故について事象進展評価を行い、事故シーケンスグループとして、原子炉停止機能喪失事象、原子炉容器液位保持機能喪失事象及び崩壊熱除去機能喪失事象を同定した。また、これらの事故シーケンスグループを代表する事故について安全評価を行い、科学的・技術的に想定すべき範囲の設計基準を超える事故は多量の放射性物質の放出に至らない見通しを得た。

Beyond design basis accident have been evaluated in Joyo. Anticipated transient without scram, loss of reactor level and protected loss of heat sink are identified as main accident sequence group. Unprotected transient over power and protected loss of heat sink are selected as representative accident by the view point of frequency and impact. As the result of safety analysis of these accident, we confirmed that no beyond design basis accident reach to release a large amount of radioactive materials.
