ケーブル・イン・コンジット導体の臨界電流性能は、導体端部のラップ・ジョイントにおける素線と銅スリーブの接触度合いに依存する。そこで、複数の撚りピッチに対して、撚線内の素線の軌跡を解析的に計算し、撚りピッチの素線と銅スリーブへの接触度合いへの影響を評価した。この結果、撚りピッチが前段の撚りピッチの整数倍で変化するときに、素線と銅スリーブの接触が改善されることを初めて定量的に示した。
The influence of individual sub-cable twist pitches on contact condition between individual strands and the copper sleeve in a CICC has not been investigated. In this study, the influence of the individual sub-cable twist pitches on contact condition between individual strands and the copper sleeve in a CICC' lap joint was investigated using calculated strand paths. Our calculated results show that contact condition between strands and the copper sleeve in a CICC's lap joint are improved regardless of the cable configuration when the
-th order sub-cable twist pitch is a multiple of all the previous sub-cables twist pitch. Moreover, it is shown that the difference in the characteristic associated with the contact condition and the combination of sub-cable twist pitches is caused by the cable outline.
