Motion of guest atom in caged structural compound probed by muon

Motion of a guest atom in caged structural compound is important in connection with the search for efficient thermoelectric materials. We have studied the local motion of a guest atom in the type-I crathrates BaGa $_{16}$ Si $_{30}$ by using muon spin relaxation method. We will report the detail of the results.
