Josephson effect between UPt$$_3$$ and conventional superconductors under pressure

Gochi, Jun*; Sumiyama, Akihiko*; Yamaguchi, Akira*; Motoyama, Gaku*; Kimura, Noriaki*; Yamamoto, Etsuji  ; Haga, Yoshinori   ; Onuki, Yoshichika

The Josephson critical current $$I_{rm c}$$ between a single crystal UPt$$_3$$ and conventional superconductors has been measured under pressure. The observation of $$I_{rm c}$$ well above the critical pressure 0.25 GPa, together with a Fraunhofer-like pattern in the magnetic field modulation of $$I_{rm c}$$ indicates that the Josephson effect is allowed in the superconducting state of UPt$$_3$$.
