Development of laser cladding and non-destructive inspection technology in heat exchanger tube

In Japan there are a lot of aging plants which have wearing parts and wall thinning tubes and require major maintenance and repairs. The efficient method is required to repair all of them in various spaces. A laser processing is a promising technology. We have been developed a compact laser cladding system to use in facilities in operation. And we developed a inspection probe to measure a shape of 1inch tube inside before and after laser cladding.
