Overall magnetic excitation in overdoped La$$_{2-x}$$Sr$$_{x}$$CuO$$_{4}$$ studied by complementary use of neutron and X-ray

We have studied overall magnetic excitation of overdoped La$$_{2-x}$$Sr$$_{x}$$CuO$$_{4}$$ by complementary use of neutron and X-ray. We measured magnetic excitation up to 200 meV using neutron scattering and above 150 meV by resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS) technique. Combining the both results, we found that magnetic excitation measured by neutron and RIXS are consistent, and the high energy magnetic excitation shows dispersion relation which is the same as the spin wave dispersion of non-doped antiferromagnetic La$$_{2}$$CuO$$_{4}$$. This result indicate that the magnetic excitation in this system can be distinguished into two parts; the high energy part above 100 meV which is independent of hole-concentration, and the low energy part which is highly sensitive to the hole-conetration.
