NDA R&D activities at JAEA

The JAEA will start the following new program with collaboration with EC/JRC. "(Tentative) Development of active neutron NDA techniques with DDA, DG, NRTA and PGA using a pulsed neutron source". The final purpose of this program is to establish the measurement techniques for the high radioactive Special Nuclear Material (SNM) such as the Spent Fuel (SF) in the repossessing process and for nuclear non-proliferation applications. In this program, the JAEA will conduct the R&D on active neutron non-destructive measurement techniques of nuclear material and study the combination.
