We are investigating the isotope fractionation in solid or liquid under strong centrifugal acceleration field. In this study, we have performed the ultracentrifuge experiments on $$alpha$$ -AgI super ionic conductor samples. All centrifuged samples keep their stoichiometry. The isotope ratio of $$^{107}$$Ag / $$^{109}$$Ag on centrifuged samples have negative gradient in the direction of centrifugal force. These results show that the heavy $$^{109}$$Ag isotopes move in the direction of the centrifugal force and the light isotopes move in the counter direction keeping their charge balance in the specimen. Additionally, I will introduce the development of isotope separation process in liquid based on this result.
