In order to examine the environmental influence by accident of the Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Station, the radiation measurement using the unmanned aircraft system (UAS) was conducted. What is to use a UAS was suitable for the radiation measurement in wide area. After the accident, we developed various systems that are unmanned helicopter, unmanned airplane and drone for airborne monitoring. This paper is described a development situation of UAS for radiation monitoring. In addition, we describe the detail of the unmanned airplane as the example of UASs development.
