MLFの中性子データ処理環境「空蝉」の現状

「空蝉」はJ-PARC, MLFにおける非弾性散乱装置の装置制御・および解析環境として整備が始まったソフトウェアである。データ処理としては、MLFが採用したデータ収集方式であるイベント記録方式をいち早く実用化し、非弾性散乱装置の解析環境として成果を上げてきた。特に最近は一般的な電気シグナルを同じデータ収集システムに取り込んでイベント記録が可能となったため、それらと中性子データとの組み合わせた処理が必要とされているが、空蝉はそれらのデータ処理に成功している。一方、DAQミドルウェアと呼ばれるデータ収集システムによるイベント記録方式は、MLFでは多くの装置で採用されており、必要に応じてそれらの装置へも空蝉の導入を進めてきた。さらに「空蝉」から装置制御ソフトウェアを分離し、データ処理環境として独立させたことにより、「空蝉」はMLFの解析環境の基盤としての役割を持つようになった。本発表では、「空蝉」の現在の開発状況と問題点、今後の展開について示す。

"Utsusemi" is the data reduction software for neutron scattering at MLF in J-PARC. The development of Utsusemi started from the software development for the chopper-type neutron inelastic measurement, which includes the device control system, data analysis and visualization. These development products were successfully utilized in actual users measurements for chopper spectrometers, while we were proceeding with developments intensively for the analysis to use effectively the event-recording data outputted from DAQ system utilized as MLF common system. By the request by the other beam lines, we separated the analysis and visualization parts from original Utsusemi to provide them as common software in MLF. In these years, not only the inelastic instruments but also many of other instruments in MLF begin to introduce this new Utsusemi to achieve more flexible analysis using event-recording method.
