Current status of J-KAREN laser upgrade and intense laser activities around the world

We report on recent progress on the J-KAREN laser upgrade to realize 10$$^{22}$$ W/cm$$^{2}$$ intensity at 0.1 Hz. Our current high-spatiotemporal-quality broadband pulse from the front end is amplified in the final amplifier to over 55 J. We plan to mention the future prospects. We also introduce ultra-high intensity lasers worldwide.
