高強度テラヘルツ光発生法として、波面傾斜励起光をLiNbO$$_{3}$$結晶に照射する手法が広く用いられている。我々は波面傾斜とテラ ヘルツ光発生を単一デバイスで実現し、省スペース化と大強度化を同時に達成する接触型回折格子法を開発した。本講演では、デバイスの最適化を行った経過について報告し、接触型回折格子デバイスによるTHz光発生機構について議論する。

Optical rectification in the LiNbO$$_{3}$$ crystal pumped by the optical laser pulse with tilted pulse front has been widely used for the intense THz light generation. We have developed the contact grating method which realizes the pulse front tilting and the THz light generation in the same device. The contact grating device is extremely compact, and therefore, can realize the large aperture size for further intense THz light generation. In this paper, we report the optimization of the device for obtaining high conversion efficiency, and discuss the mechanism of the THz light generation in this device.
