PHITS is a general purpose Monte Carlo code for radiation transport analysis, and is being developed by JAEA, RIST, and KEK in collaboration with several institutes. Incorporating Japanese evaluated nuclear data library JENDL4.0 and Electron-Gamma Shower code ver. 5 (EGS5) developed by KEK, PHITS is a domestic code based on technology of Japan. PHITS can deal with transport of nearly all particles such as neutrons. PHITS has been applied to various studies in atomic energy field, nucleus-elementary physics, cosmic-ray science, and medical physics. In the session of Present status of the domestic code system development and future plans, we introduce the latest version, PHITS2.82 (released on Dec. 2015), and recent developments such as incorporation of EGS5, improvements of JQMD and event-generator mode, and implementation of photon and muon nuclear reaction models. We present future plans for JENDL high energy file and estimator of systematic error attributed by nuclear reactions.
