Preliminary study on DPA cross-section of $$^{184}$$W in JEFF-3.2

JEFF-3.2の$$^{184}$$Wの損傷断面積が30MeV以上でENDF/B-VII.1やTENDL-2015より2桁以上大きくなることが放射線損傷に関するIAEA技術会合で報告された。そこでこの問題を調べた。その結果、JEFF-3.2に内蔵されている$$^{184}$$W(n,t)$$^{182}$$Ta生成割合が30MeV以上でTENDL-2015より2桁以上大きく、それが30MeV以上での損傷断面積の問題を引き起こしていることがわかった。この問題はJEFF-3.2の$$^{182}$$W, $$^{183}$$W, $$^{186}$$Wでも生じていることも指摘した。JEFF-3.2のタングステンデータの残留核の生成割合を再確認し、間違っているデータを修正する必要がある。

It had been reported that the DPA cross-section data of $$^{184}$$W in JEFF-3.2 above 30 MeV were larger by more than two orders than those in other nuclear data libraries in the IAEA technical meeting on radiation damage. Thus I investigated this issue. As a result, it was found out that the production yield of $$^{182}$$Ta in mf6 mt5 was larger by more than two orders than those of 184W in TENDL-2015, which caused the too large DPA cross section data of $$^{184}$$W in JEFF-3.2 above 30 MeV. It was also pointed out that the same issue also occurs in $$^{182}$$W, $$^{183}$$W and $$^{186}$$W. The production yield data of residual nuclei in all the tungsten isotopes of JEFF-3.2 should be reconfirmed and revised if they have mistakes.
