Study on cavitation due to sub-surface vortex at intake of hot-leg pipe in sodium cooled fast reactor, 10; Application of sub-surface vortex evaluation method to intake of primary cold-leg pipe

Related to the establishment of evaluation method of vortex cavitation, numerical analysis of a small-scale water model test about a cold-leg pipe inlet of advanced loop-type of sodium cooled reactor is performed to check the applicability of the model constant in the evaluation method. Based on the result, numerical analysis of the actual system is also performed. As the results, it is considered that vortex cavitation does not occur under the countermeasure of vortex cavitation.
