Experiences of integral effects tests for thermohydraulic safety study at JAEA

原子力機構における熱水力安全研究のための総合効果実験の経験

与能本 泰介

Yonomoto, Taisuke

The role of integral effects test (IET) are discussed referring to the experiences of the thermohydraulic safety research at JAEA. The general importance of the IET is discussed firstly. Then an engineering analysis on the depressurization behavior observed in the ROSA-AP600 project is explained to clarify the importance of the IET to understand the dominant mechanisms among several phenomena. The unresolved issues will be also discussed referring to different experimental results obtained at small-scale test facilities. Furthermore, the concept of the simulation for the CIGMA facility for the containment thermal-hydraulic research and the role of the facility in the project are discussed.
