強風と降雨の重畳ハザードを対象にナトリウム冷却高速炉のマージン評価手法を開発した。強風と降雨の重畳時には、強風飛来物による補助冷却設備雨どいの破損に続く排気ダクト内への降雨の浸入による空気冷却器伝熱管疲労破損が考えられ、伝熱管破損までの許容時間をマージンと定義して評価することとした。

For sodium-cooled fast reactors, a margin assessment methodology against a combination hazard of strong wind and rainfall. In the combination hazard of strong wind and rainfall, the margin was defined as the grace period to heat transfer tube in the air cooler, of which fatigue failure is considered due to ingress of rain droplets into the air cooler duct following the air cooler roof failure of auxiliary cooling system due to wind-generated missiles.
