Study on safety enhancement of the fast reactor by using nanoparticle suspension sodium, 31-10; Reaction suppression

Kanda, Hironori; Nagai, Keiichi ; Saito, Junichi  ; Ara, Kuniaki

Sodium-water reaction that is occurred in Sodium-cooled Fast Reactor forms a reaction jet by an ejection of high-pressurized water/steam. The important thing is grasping this special reaction phenomenon for an actual plant evaluation. In this report, a method of reflecting the suppressing mechanism of sodium-water reaction to the evaluation method constructed in the past research is reported based on the results of examination of the reaction suppression mechanism by application of nanoparticle suspension sodium.
