New actinide compounds with Al- and Ga-rich phases

A new actinide compound was found in U-Pt-Ga phase. Single crystals of UPtGa $_{15}$ were grown from Ga flux. EPMA and single crystal X-ray diffraction successfully solve the hexagonal crystal structure with the space group P6/mmc. The structural characteristics are similar to other intermetallic compounds reported in U-Fe-Si, U-Pd-Al and U-Pt-Al as well as rare-earth ternary phases.
